Hi guys, i want the rear 3 windows tinted dark smoke/black on my accent. not too bothered who does it as long as its a good job without bubbles/creases etc lol.

anyone got experience with doing these and think they could tackle it for a paying customer? i haven't got the patience myself but more than willing to help out as an extra pair of hands. looking to have it done sometime January probs. Whoever gives me the best quote including materials gets the job; just to set a benchmark, a company in wrexham will do it for £100 with lifetime guarantee on the film.

    any takers?

Thats about the same price as Total Tinting, who offer lifetime guarantee as well, and are just on the doorstep. Winter isnt the best time to fit tints, as the cold can mess round with the curing process leading to bubbles WHOEVER fits them.

Total Tinting will sort the bubbles and that out for free as well.

They did a cracking job on my MG and recently on my bros Ibiza, so they come highly recommended from me Wink

thanks for that craig, didnt realise that the cold would have an effect on it. well if theres no takers or better prices then i will be using totaltinting probably as i know they have a really good rep, just all for saving some cash if possible as i dont like the idea of spending £100 on a mod that only costs £10 in materials, I hate paying through the nose for labour, thats why i do almost everything myself

Yeah, but its a very tedious job, especially without the correct techniques and tools. See plenty of cars going round where theyve tinted the windows themselves, and you see bubbles, cracks everything that could go wrong, does haha.

Think the winter air is more moist, so any air trapped between the film and the window evaporates, and the moisture leads to bubbles, or something like that. Best to be done in a warm dry environment.

But like I say, if any bubbles do appear, leave it with them and theyll sort it for free Wink

Cost me £10 off ebay for a 6m reel. Did it myself and chuffed with it. Have a look under current - Austin. I recommend giving it a go. If you really can not do it pay through the nose for it lol.
